LIFE TECMINE project article available in Montes magazine
Issue 159 of MONTES Magazine, the technical-scientific magazine for the popularisation of forestry, includes an article in the ‘TECHNICAL AND DISCLOSURE’ section that goes into the progress and achievements of the LIFE TECMINE project. The project aims to transform former mining areas located in Mediterranean forest areas using innovative, efficient and highly transferable restoration techniques to achieve ecosystem recovery.
The article entitled “LIFE TECMINE: innovative techniques for the restoration of mines in the Mediterranean region” highlights the innovative solutions implemented by the LIFE TECMINE project for the sustainable restoration of environments affected by mining. Work has been carried out on a 13-hectare area of the Fortuna mine (Ademuz) using innovative geomorphological restoration techniques to recover native vegetation and promote biodiversity.
The same issue of the MONTES Magazine, corresponding to the fourth quarter of 2024, features the project, promoted by the Forest Management and Planning Service, on its cover.
