Students of the Universitat Politècnica de València visit the Fortuna Mine in Ademuz

Students of the Master's Degree in Bioenvironmental and Landscape Engineering of the School of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering of the Universitat Politècnica de València visited the Fortuna Mine in Ademuz (Valencia). It is a newly created master's degree that has started in the academic year 2022/2023 and aims to train professionals coming from the world of Engineering and the Environment.

The objective of the visit to the Fortuna Mine of the LIFE TECMINE project was to learn about the pioneering techniques in Europe that are obtaining such good results in the recovery of the ecosystem's functionality.

The students toured the mine accompanied by the LIFE TECMINE project team. They were able to see in situ the results obtained after the innovative ecological restoration techniques applied in the Fortuna Mine.

It was a practical day where methodologies and advances in mine restoration were shared with future professionals of the sector.

The LIFE TECMINE team is committed to knowledge transfer. This is a vital process to ensure mining restoration and the recovery of natural areas affected by human activity.
