The LIFE TECMINE project receives the visit of the public company Korea Environment Corporation (K-eco)
Representatives of the LIFE TECMINE team welcomed the employees of the Korean company at the meeting that took place on October 31, 2023 at the Fortuna Mine in Ademuz.
Employees of the Soil and Groundwater Division Korea Environment Corporation (K-eco) together with a delegation of LIFE TECMINE project partners went there.
The day began with an explanation of the actions that have been carried out in the Fortuna Mine. The innovative techniques used in the environmental restoration of mines in natural areas were discussed and the current state of the restoration was observed.
The day ended with a brief presentation of the company K-eco by the Korean delegation. They explained what are the main functions of the company and what problems they face on a daily basis to restore existing mine sites in South Korea.
The LIFE TECMINE project, promoted by the Forest Development and Management Service of the General Directorate for the Natural Environment, was a finalist in the LIFE 2023 Awards in the Environment category and won the LIFE 2023 Citizen Award.
